[Letter] Jan.27,1887,Smith College [to F.H. Giddings]
Jan. 27, 1887, Smith College.
Dear Mr. Giddings,
Thanks for kind
invitation, and for
pleasant expressions
concerning club offices.
It was no burden whatsoever
to discharge duties, and I
had no such idea concerning
next year I thought rotation
right in principle. As
my wife is about starting
for New York and may be
absent over Monday night
it will be best that I
return that evening. I
am feeling quite well
now, though a little
peaceable. I am glad
we are to hear from you
on Profit Sharing, though
I do fear that you are
overworking. Don't do
that. I suppose you have
or will soon have proofs
of your part of our
joint discussion for P.[olitical] Sci.
Quarterly. Shall I see you
before club meeting? I
believe we go to Massasoit
a little early to meet Gen. WaIker.
Yours Very Truly,
J. B. Clark
