[Letter] Feb.21,1887,Smith College [to F.H. Giddings]

Feb. 21, 1887, Smith College.

Dear Mr. Giddings,
            I see we are
getting behindhand in
arranging for speaker for
next meeting. Prof. Andrews
declines, on ground of work.
How would it do to get Mr.
Tuttle, instructor at Amherst
to talk about some
subject connected with
Polit. Econ. in Germany, or
anything else? I believe D. A.
Wells has been tried, and will
speak later. Then there is
Colby of Dartmouth, better in
law than in economics,
but able to edify us, no
doubt. Have you anyone
else in mind? To whom
shall we write? I will
follow your suggestion on that
point at once, as time is
short.

          Yours Very Truly,
                 J. B. Clark

P.S.
How would good old Prof.
Perry do?
