[Letter] May 26,1887,Smith College [to F.H. Giddings]

May 26, 1887, Smith College.

Dear Mr. Giddings,
            Two things lately
impressed me and I write
while they are fresh. One is
the small subscription list
of the Polit. Sci. Quarterly;
the other is the way in
which the elect (!) few who
read our joint article have
been good enough to speak
of it. Why keep such a
light under a bushel? (Hear)
 What has occurred to me
is that we might make one
more joint article on profits,
or a kindred theme, and publish
the four in a little
book. I could expand
the article on 'What are
Profits?', published in
Work and Wages, and you
could use the article on
Profit sharing with any
change that might seem to
you to be desirable for
ensuring sequence of thought.
How does the project
strike you?
 I reached home last
night at 11:45, less tired
than I felt nearly all the
time during the session.

     Yours Very Truly,
           J. B. Clark
