[Letter] June13,1887,Smith College [to F.H. Giddings]
June 13, 1887, Smith College.
Dear Mr. Giddings,
I wish I could
read my paper to you
before precipitating it on
the Worcester audience; but
it is not completed yet,
and I go to Worcester
tomorrow. Mr. Kingsly
of the New Englander
wants the paper for
publication by Tues. or Wed.
in the hope of getting it into
his July No. I wish I
had more time to make
it worth printing; but
what time I have during
the Summer must be
devoted to other things more
strictly economic. I think
I suggested too early a date
for us to assign for the
completion of our book, and
that we should reserve Sept.
and Oct. to be devoted to it
if necessary. I will write or
talk concerning outline and
title at some early time.
Yours Very Truly,
J. B. Clark
