June 25, 1887, Smith College.

Dear Mr. Giddings,
       Suggestion good. I
had thought the shape of
the vol. the only objection,
and now think that not
sufficient to counterbalance
the advantages. A vol. of size of
Com. Labor Report would
contain the matter, and paper
like that of Quarterly would
be thick enough to give
respectable appearance. I
may see Plimpton [of Ginn Publishing Co.] at
Amherst. Is there a reason
for not speaking fully of
the plan?
