[Letter] Oct.1887,Smith College [to F.H. Giddings]
Oct. 5, 1887, Smith College.
Dear Mr. Giddings,
I called today
but found you away, as
you naturally would be
during the noon hours,
I send Dr. Seligman's
letter. If I do not
see you tomorrow (I may
not go to S.) perhaps you
will be able to designate
a convenient time for
final conference. Can you
come to my house for
an afternoon and night?
If you happen to have
facts available concerning
the paper industry they
would work in well. I
hear nothing yet from
the iron and steel secretary,
nor from the boot and
shoe people. All that
I have thus far is the
report of the N.[ew] Eng.[land]
textile industries.
Yours Very Truly,
J. B. Clark
