[Letter] Jan.14,1888,Smith College [to F.H. Giddings]
Jan. 14, 1888, Smith College.
Dear Mr. Giddings,
All is well. Thanks
for your own kind
interest in making it so.
I hope meeting comes on
30th rather than 22nd
as I shall be a little less
tired then. Proofs of front
matter of book have come.
I will go through them and
forward them to you with
corrections, suggestions, etc.
after which it would be well
to send then to Ginn & Co.
(7-9-13 Fremont Place, Boston) They
have asked for suggestions
as to binding; it might
be well for you to suggest
the use of the paper of the
Quarterly, and any form of
binding that you have in
mind. I have referred them
to the sample Mr. Plimpton
showed us in N.Y. I have,
however, spoken of the paper
and that may be sufficient.
I hope they will not contract
the margins. A few words
from you will I think do
no harm on any of the points.
Yours Very Truly,
J. B. Clark
