[Letter] Feb.7,1888,Smith College [to F.H. Giddings]
Feb. 7, 1888, Smith College.
Dear Mr. Giddings,
Hearty congratulations
on your election to the
very elect club. It is as it
should be. I have read with
pleasure the sharp article on
the protectionist rant against
Mr. Lowell. I sent to Dr. Albert
Shane my little contribution
to his symposium yesterday.
I fancy Dr. B. is right in his
intentions, as we always thought
him. I hope you will make
and publish an article on the
ethics of interest. I enclose to you
for preservation the copyright I
have just rec'd.
Yours Very Truly,
J. B. Clark
