[Letter] Feb.29,1888,Smith College [to F.H. Giddings]
Feb. 29, 1888, Smith College.
Dear Mr. Giddings,
My wife thinks
that Thursday will be
the best day. Come a
little early and have
a visit before tea. I
think the club comes
at 7 or 7:30. If you
can bring Mrs. Giddings
or your sister it will
give my wife and me
great pleasure to have
you do so. We shall all
be greatly indebted to you
for the trouble and
labor that the address
may have occasioned, and
I want to repeat my
assurance that an off
hand talk will be entirely
adequate to the demands of
the occasion. Of
course, I shall not allow
you to incur any expense.
Yours Very Truly,
J. B. Clark
P.S. This is for expenses.
I wish it were $ 200.00.
