[Letter] March 11,1888,Smith College [to F.H. Giddings]

March 11, 1888, Smith College.

Dear Mr. Giddings,
       I would like to
hear that you were not
sick, or so tired as to be
nearly sick, after returning
to Springfield. My wife
and I felt smitten in
the region of the conscience
for allowing you, after your
sure strain, to incur
no little farther fatigue by
the talk and the late
hours that it occasioned.
It was highly appreciated,
I assure you. We have
heard from it, from the
members of the club,
again and again.
 A literary scheme is
running in my head
that I will speak of when
I see you; - though I
admit ( ) Ginn & Co.'s
course damps the ardor
for book making a little.

     Yours Very Truly,
           J. B. Clark
