[Letter] June 7,1888,Smith College [to F.H. Giddings]

June 7, 1888, Smith College.

Dear Mr. Giddings.
        I sent Prof. Rice'
letter with that of Prof. Morse.
There are things in the
case of which Prof. M. is
not aware, and the case
seems a little better in
my view than it does in
his. I would adopt, if I
were you, his view that
you are not seeking a
thing supremely valuable,
and would be quite contented
to have the opening closed, if
events close it. I live
myself in hopes that you
will do as well or better
anyhow. I enclose a few
European menus as suggested.

     Yours Very Truly,
           J. B. Clark
