[Letter] Sept.12,1888,Northampton [to F.H. Giddings]

Sept. 12, 1888, Northampton.

Dear Mr. Giddings.
           Just at home
and college opening with
a great rush. 165
applications more or
less for freshman class
particular, an actual
class of 130-40. Examinations
in process at this moment.
Am I going to lose my
visit with you? I fear
for the immediate present
things look that way. You
will hardly want to come
here just now, on the
eve of your departure;
and how I can, in these few
days, go there I do not see,
I shall have you here
however for a good long
leisurely visit at the earliest
practicable date. I send
some notices of book.

  Yours Very Truly,
        J. B. Clark
