[Letter] July 28,1889,Keene Valley,Essex Co.N.Y. [to F.H. Giddings]
July 28, 1889, Keene Valley, Essex Co. N.Y.
Dear Friend,
I have been for
a few days in my sister's
very comfortable home,
and have done, thus far
nothing but to eat and
sleep. These I have done
most thoroughly. I will
not torment you by
describing the room
my sister prepared for you,
with its outlook on the
mountains, nor the
trout fishing in a brook
that flows just under
the windows of that
same room. I will,
however say that my
mother and sister shared
in full measure my own
disappointment that you
could not come. I shall
console myself with the
hope of a longer visit in
the winter.
Yours Very Truly,
J. B. Clark
