I sent the tel. to Prof. James
because a letter from Prof.
Patten said that he (James)
wanted at once the number
of pages in the article. I am
very glad the economic
department [of Annals] is in your
hands. It is in the best
hands in the U.S.
 I will rush my
rearranging and copying and
send the paper in a very few
days, - I hope on Saturday.
