[Letter] January 24,[1894] [to F.H. Giddings]
January 24, [1894], n. p.
Dear Friend,
I write letters
of commendation every
day or two; but the
idea of writing one
for you unpleases
me a little. There
is too much to be
said and I don't want
to impress anyone
as running to hyperbole
as I shall do if I
simply say what I
think and feel. How
will the enclosed
draft do? Let me
burn it and make
another if it has
weaknesses that appear to
you. If wishes will get
the university position
it is yours, by virtue of
my wishes, already.
Yours Very Truly,
J. B. Clark
