[Letter] February 8,1894 [to F.H. Giddings]
February 8, 1894, n. p.
Dear Friend,
Heartiest
Congratulations. You
are in the field that
needs you. In the
new environment you
will do more and
get more than in the
old one; and in one
way or another we
shall all get more
by reason of your
being there. I am
thoroughly glad of the
outcome.
I infer, from your
letter, that you would
scarcely advise me to
go to Bryn Mawr.
I appreciate that place
but scarcely think it
is wise to break off from
Amherst unless
something quite
extraordinary were to occur. I
shall, however, be glad to see Miss
Thomas and shall give a hospitable
reception to any proposition that she
may make.
Yours Very Truly,
J. B. Clark
I particularly like your coming near to
New England.
