[Letter] October 9,1894,Amherst [to F.H. Giddings]
October 9, 1894, Amherst.
Dear Friend:
For unintentional
humor how is the
enclosed article from
the Minneapolis Tribune?
It is a prose attempt
to outbid the sweet
singer of Michigan, though
in fairly good grammar.
I am settled.
How are you? I have
a study, though it is
not a quiet one. We
made two attempts
to start for the west
and failed. The baby
Helen was ill on each
occasion, and we
have had to give it
up till it is cooler.
When you have laughed
at the Minn. Tribune
all that you care to
perhaps you will not
mind returning the
clipping unless you
think others would
care to see it.
Yours Very Truly,
John B. Clark
