[Letter] April 9,1895 [to F.H. Giddings]

April 9, 1895, n. p.

Dear Friend:
          Thanks
for the note
about Patten. I
would jump at
the chance of
getting him, if
the choice rested
with me, for all
his little
peculiarities. I
will see that Prest.
Gates has him
in view.
 I had a pleasant
visit with you as
I do not need to
tell you. At some
time I want a last
word on the relation
of economics to sociology.
If by abstract
economics you mean
a certain thing I fully agree
with you as I now understand
your position. If a certain other
thing was meant, there is a
chance for another 'talkee'.

       Yours Very Truly,
          John B. Clark
