[Letter] 1868 March 29, Parsonage Road, Withington, Manchester [to] Hendricks
Parsonage Rd

29 Mar., 68
Dear Hendricks,
I am sorry to
say that the day for
which I have been
summoned to the
Commission is the
very one on which
I am engaged to give
a public lecture to the
trades unionists of this
city - a sort of engage
ment that it is impossible
to put off.
Should I be still
required I will try
to call upon you
beforehand to talk
it over, though it must
depend upon the day
named whether there
is time. I have however
recieved from Mr.
Wilson a copy of this
report of himself and
Mr. Graham which tells
me most of what I
wanted to know con
cerning the position
of the question.
I believe there is so
much light gold about
that the change might
be effected without any
very extensive recoinage.
Yours faithfully
W. Stanley Jevons.
