　Dear Sir
　　I am much obliged
to Mr McMillan for 
sending me Mr Freeman’s
book. I intend reading 
it as soon as I have time,
and I hope that this will 
be before long, I cannot
however hold out any
prospect of my reviewing
it / in fact I have
already declined a 
proposal to do so / as 
the history of the
Achaian league, though
as a part of Greek 
history I am strongly
interested in it, is
not a subject on which
I am competent to write.
