[Letter] 1868 May 27, Blackheath Park, Kent [to] W. Rossiter
Blackheath Park
Kent
May 27. 1868
Dear Sir
I am happy to hear
that Mr Plummer's lecture,
which I regret not to have been
able to attend, went off so
successfully.
I am much gratified
by your wish to be on the
Election Committee. I have
sent your note to Dr Brewer,
who is taking an active
part in organising the
Committee. You are aware
that I do not myself take
any part in the arrangements.
I send by Book Post
a copy of my pamphlet on
Ireland, which I perceive
that Messrs Longman have
omitted from the books which
I desired them to send for
the College. I am Dear Sir
yrs very truly
J.S. Mill
W. Rossiter Esq.
