[Letter] 1870 Nov. 2, Blackheath Park, Kent [to] W.C. [William Cox] Bennett, Hyde Cottage, Hyde Vale, Greenwich
Blackheath Park
Kent
Nov.2,1870
Dear Sir,
I have, as I promised,
taken into considertation the
proposal of your committee that
I should take the chair at a
meeting to be held for the purpose
of considering the qualifications
which should be required from
a candidate for the School Board
and the result is that I think
I shall act most rightly by complying
with the committee's request. I
beg you therefore to intimate to
them my willingness to take the
chair at the intended meeting.
Be kind enough to give me
early notice when the day is
fixed. Any of the days you
mentioned will suit me
equally well. I am, Dear Sir,
Yours very truly,
J.S.Mill
W. C. Bennett, Esq.
