Alumni

Using the Libraries

A library card is required in order for those who have graduated from Kwansei Gakuin's schools to use the university library. If you do not have one, follow the procedures outlined below. You can always apply during operating hours.

Library card issuing for alumni

Registration: Information Counter

  • Nishinomiya-Uegahara Campus Library:1st floor

  • Nishinomiya-Seiwa Campus Library:3rd floor

  • Kobe-Sanda Campus Library & Media Center:2nd floor

Requirements:

  1. ID (driver's license, health insurance card, resident's card, etc.)

  2. A photo (4.5-cm long x 3.5-cm wide, black and white or color)

  3. 2,000 yen

Expiration

The library card is valid for a year.
For renewal of your library card, please contact us at the Information Counter on the 1st floor before its expiration.

* If you renew your library card before its expiration, no fee is charged. * Even if your library card is void, please bring it for re-registration.

Visitors from other universities

Using the Libraries

Faculty, graduate students, and undergraduate students of other universities may use materials held in Kwansei Gakuin University Library under the interlibrary loan agreements with other university libraries.
Please consult the library of your university in advance. No direct inquiry from individuals is accepted.

Please bring the request for availability issued by the library concerned (and our response to it) and your university ID to the Information Counter on the 1st floor. Without prior permission, visitors cannot enter the library.

Service hours: Monday - Friday: 9:30 - 16:00 (9:30 - 15:00 during examination and holiday periods). Visitors are not accepted on Saturdays and Sundays.

General public

Using the Libraries

An "open system" is implemented for general users. For the outline of the system, please check the following items. Furthermore, the library always takes tour requests. If you complete the application at the Information Counter, you are allowed to visit the building within 30 minutes. However, you cannot view the resources.

Registered visitors

Eligibility

Our library is open to residents aged 20 and older in the cities of Nishinomiya and Sanda and their neighboring areas, who have the specific purpose of study or research using the materials of our library. Students of other universities and college-preparatory students are excluded.
For use by governmental agencies, businesses, or evangelical Christian churches for the purpose of study or research, please contact us at the User Services Section, Kwansei Gakuin University Library.
