E-mail reference* Only for faculty and staff, graduate students, undergraduates, and junior college studentsBorrower services

We accept reference questions via e-mail and only from faculty and staff, graduate students, undergraduates, and junior college students.
The questions we can answer are limited to the following types.

Collections search Whether an item is in the university collections
Collections institution search Whether materials not in the university collection are in the collections of other institutions
Bibliographical searches Information such as book titles, magazine titles, author names, year of publication, region of publication, volume number, and publisher for certain documents

Off-Campus Access Borrower services

A service that enables users access to databases, electronic journals, and electronic books that are under contract with the university from their homes or other locations outside the campus. It is available from a PC, smartphone and a tablet device.

Due date extension Borrower services

If you renew before the due date, you may extend the borrowing period. Please renew from OPAC referring to the online manual.
* Note:If you keep some overdue materials, you can NOT renew all materials you are borrowing. If you would like to keep borrowing the materials which you have already renewed on the Internet once, renew them at the Circulation Counter with your library card. Then you can renew them on the Internet next time. If other user has already reserved the material, renewal is NOT permitted.

Reservation Borrower services

You can reserve books and materials that are loaned out. Please renew from OPAC referring to the online manual.

Use of materials from other universities Borrower services

The university libraries collect a variety of books and materials to provide all of our users with the academic information they need. However, there is naturally a limit to the books and materials one university can collect. We therefore have mutual cooperation agreements with other university libraries for the convenience of users.

1. Document Copying

Required parts of magazine articles, theses, books, etc. are sent to us. Please renew from OPAC referring to the online manual.

2. Book circulation

The book is sent and received from the collection facility and can be used within the university libraries. Types of books that can be borrowed and the borrowing period depend on the usage conditions of the collection facility. Please note that the books cannot be removed from the libraries. At the University Library, we have instituted a reserved books system as a service to provide students with books and materials related to their classes. Under this system, the texts selected by teachers are arranged in the Reserved Books corner in the library on the campus where the classes are given.
Reserved Books system is operated in a single year so, please make sure that teachers select the books and materials every year.

We have instituted a corner for "Teacher-Recommended Books" in the University Library in the hope that many students will acquaint themselves with the pleasure of reading and come to enjoy the library more.
